Central Asia is witnessing a significant acceleration in infrastructure development and industrial modernization, creating robust demand across multiple hardware and equipment sectors. According to recent market analysis, the region's liquid-cooled server chassis market is entering an early adoption phase, with demand concentrated in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. This growth is driven by hyperscale data center projects, national AI initiatives, and the replacement of air-cooled infrastructure with the market expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate over the 2026–2035 forecast period .

The regional hardware landscape is characterized by substantial import dependency, with over 80% of supply met through imports, primarily from China, the European Union, and the United States. Distribution hubs in Almaty, Tashkent, and Baku serve as primary points of entry and re-export for neighboring markets. The market's growth is underpinned by at least three large-scale data center projects in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan incorporating liquid-cooled server architectures by 2026, reflecting the region's commitment to modernizing its digital infrastructure .

Uzbekistan's manufacturing sector shows particularly strong momentum. Data from the National Statistics Committee reveals that large enterprises in the country produced computers, electronic, and optical products valued at 2 trillion soums during the first five months of 2026. Production is concentrated in Tashkent city (890.5 billion soums) and the Tashkent region (527.6 billion soums), with other regions including Kashkadarya, Fergana, and Namangan also contributing significantly. This expansion signals growing industrial capacity that will require substantial hardware inputs, from construction tools to electronic assembly equipment.

The broader Central Asian construction and mining machinery market reflects the region's infrastructure ambitions. Kazakhstan functions as the undisputed regional hegemon in earthmoving equipment, accounting for 68% of total consumption volume at 3,000 units and serving as the region's sole production hub with 1,600 units manufactured annually. The country's dominance is mirrored in its role as the leading exporter, with $19 million in outbound trade, while also being the largest importer by value at $35 million, highlighting demand for specialized, high-value machinery that domestic production cannot yet satisfy.

Industry analysts note that emerging markets, including Central Asia, represent the fastest-growing regions in the global construction machinery industry. Combined emerging market size reached US$99.3 billion in 2024, accounting for 46.5% of the global market, and is expected to reach US$156.4 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 7.9% . This growth is driven by massive infrastructure investments, urbanization processes, and industrial development across the region.

For global hardware manufacturers and suppliers, capturing early-mover advantage in Central Asia's rapidly expanding market is becoming a strategic priority. Events like CAIHE, the region's premier international hardware expo, provide a vital gateway for connecting with key buyers and navigating the dynamic procurement landscape across Uzbekistan and neighboring markets.
